Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
Version: 2.2.0
1. Who We Are
Wen is developed and operated by TechCatLabs ("we," "our," or "us"), and you can contact us at tanqt18biz@gmail.com. Wen is a menstrual and reproductive‑health tracking mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Email address (for account creation and login)
- Name or nickname (optional)
- Gender, which you choose when you set up your account: female for an account that tracks its own cycle, or male for a partner account that follows the cycle of the person it connects to
- Authentication identifiers when you sign in with Google, or with Apple on iOS
Reproductive and health information (sensitive data)
- Period start/end dates and flow intensity
- Symptoms, mood, stress, and notes you choose to log
- Sexual activity and contraception entries you choose to log
- Basal body temperature and ovulation (LH) test results you choose to log, including whether a result came from the App's strip scanner
- Date of birth, cycle and period length, and your tracking goal
- Ovulation and fertility estimates the App generates from the above
Luna, the AI assistant
- The questions you ask Luna and Luna's answers, and the daily check‑in Luna writes for you
- A photo of an ovulation test strip, when you ask Luna to review one. The photo is used only to answer that request and is not stored
Partner messages
- The care messages ("pings") you and a connected partner send each other in the App
How you use the App
- Simple usage events, such as which screens and features are opened and how well predictions turned out, recorded in our own database (no third‑party analytics or advertising SDK). They contain no free text you typed.
Technical information
- Device and operating‑system information, the App's language, and your time zone (so that "today" and reminders follow your own day)
- When you last used the App
- A push‑notification token for your device, if you allow notifications
- A record of your consent: when you accept this Policy and the Terms of Use, we store the date, the version you accepted, and the IP address and device user‑agent recorded with that request
- Server request logs (time, type of request, the part of our service it called, and for some events your account ID), used to operate, secure, and debug the service, and kept only briefly on a rolling basis
Purchases
- If you subscribe, the product you bought and when it renews or ends, together with the purchase token (Google Play) or receipt (Apple App Store) that lets us confirm it with the store. Payments are handled by the store; we never see your card or bank details.
Messages you send us
- Feedback you submit in the App and emails you send us
Setting up a tracking account asks for your usual cycle and period length, your goal, and the date your last period started, because Wen cannot predict anything without them. Beyond that, we only collect the health information that you choose to log, and you can delete entries at any time.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Create and secure your account
- Provide the App and generate your personalized cycle and fertility estimates
- Answer your questions to Luna, write your daily check‑in, and review a strip photo when you ask (see Section 5)
- Send reminders and other notifications at the times you choose, if you allow notifications for the App (you can turn each kind off in the App, or all of them in your device settings)
- Verify purchases and keep your subscription status up to date
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Maintain, debug, and improve the App, including checking how accurate predictions and Luna's answers are
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal or health information, and we do not use your health data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
4. Legal Basis & Consent
Where required by law, we process your reproductive‑health information only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you accept this Policy and choose to log such data. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data or your account (see Section 8).
5. How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, under confidentiality and security obligations, and only as needed to run the App:
- Our hosting provider, whose servers store the Wen database.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc.), which delivers App updates and routes push notifications. It receives your device's push token and the text of each notification (reminders can mention your predicted period or ovulation day), and, when the App checks for updates, a random identifier for your installation.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notification service (iOS), which deliver those notifications to your device.
- Google Play Billing and the Apple App Store, which process payments. We send them the purchase token or receipt to verify a subscription. On Android, the App also attaches a one‑way code derived from your Wen account to each purchase, so the purchase can be matched to your account.
- Google Sign‑In and Sign in with Apple, when you choose them to sign in.
- Resend, which sends password‑reset emails and receives your email address to do so.
- An AI model provider, which generates Luna's answers, daily check‑ins, and strip reviews. When Luna answers you, it receives your question and a summary of your records in Wen (for example your recent period dates and cycle lengths, the prediction, your goal, and recent daily logs such as mood, symptoms, temperature, and test results); for a strip review it receives the photo. It does not receive your name, email address, or account ID. Luna currently runs on the Qwen family of models, reached through an API gateway; requests may be processed outside your country (see Section 7). We use the provider only to produce these answers.
- A partner you connect: if you give someone your invitation code and they use it to connect a Wen partner account, they can see your name (if you have set one) and your email address; your cycle history and predictions, including fertile‑window and ovulation estimates; and your average cycle and period length and your tracking goal. The details of your daily logs are yours to share: mood, symptoms, fertility signs (temperature and ovulation test results), sexual activity, and notes are each hidden from your partner until you switch that item on in the App, and you can switch each one off again at any time. Luna, when your partner asks it about you, uses only what they are allowed to see. If you turn on the "Allow my partner to log for me" setting, they can also add, change, or delete daily log entries for you. While you are connected, a subscription either of you has also unlocks its features for the other, and the App tells them that those features come from their partner's subscription. You can send each other short care messages, which the other person receives as a notification. Either of you can disconnect at any time in the App, and from that moment Wen stops sending them your data; your invitation code also changes, so the old code no longer connects anyone. If you use a partner account, the person you connect to can see your name and email address.
- AI apps you connect: if you connect an AI app to Wen from within the App (for example through the Model Context Protocol, "MCP"), it gets read‑only access to the information the App shows you (your cycles, predictions, settings, daily logs including temperature and test results, trends, and Luna's daily check‑in as far as your plan includes it) until you revoke it in the App. That AI app is run by its own provider under that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not this one, so please review them before you connect it. A partner connected to you can also connect an AI app to their own account; until you disconnect that partner, their AI app can read only what that partner can see about you in the App, and your name.
- Legal compliance, where we are required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfer, if Wen is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case we will require the successor to honor this Policy and will notify you of any material change.
6. Data Storage, Security & Retention
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected at rest using industry‑standard measures.
- We retain your data while your account is active. Luna's conversation in the App starts fresh every day, but your questions and Luna's answers are kept on our servers, so that the daily allowance can be applied and answer quality reviewed, until you delete your account. Usage events are deleted with your account. When you delete your account, your personal and health data is deleted from our active systems, including your consent records, subscription records, and push tokens (backups are rotated out on a routine schedule, within 30 days). Apple and Google keep their own record of your purchases under their own policies.
- Feedback you sent through the App is kept so we can act on it, but it is no longer linked to your account once the account is deleted. Email us if you want it erased as well.
- On Android, the App opts out of Google backup and phone‑to‑phone transfer; your data comes back from our servers when you sign in.
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Export your data (the App includes a data‑export feature)
- Delete your account and associated data (in the App: Me → Delete Account; Settings → Delete Account in older versions)
- Withdraw consent to processing of health data at any time
- Object to or restrict certain processing
If you are in the EEA/UK, these include rights under the GDPR. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights — and we confirm we do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, contact us at tanqt18biz@gmail.com.
9. Reproductive‑Health Data Notice
Reproductive‑health information is sensitive. You are in control: you decide what to log, you can export it, and you can permanently delete individual entries or your entire account at any time. We will never sell this data or use it for advertising.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children. Because it handles reproductive‑health information, it is intended only for users 16 years or older, or older where the law in your country sets a higher age for using a service like this without a parent's consent. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown above and let you know through the App or by email before they take effect, and where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
